New payement method "Checkout" of PostFinance

Hello,

PostFinance has created a new payment system for e-commerce that is very cost-effective and accessible to all.

There is a plugin for Virtuemart and more system e-commerce, but not for Hikashop.

A plugin exists for the PostFinance E-payment but not for the system "Checkout".

Is it possible that you may be to adapt the plugin for this new system in the future?

Postfiance offers a simplified service, fewer contracts and the possibility to use Twint, credit card and their card. This is very good for online shop beginners in Switzerland.

For the financing, I would be willing but the future of Joomla is not very reassuring, so maybe aim for another solution with more such tools.

In the past, every time a question comes up about payment providers in Switzerland you answer that you have developed Postfinance and that this is sufficient for the Swiss market.
We are supposed to develop any other collection solution (module Six, TWINT module, etc.) at our own expense.
The costs of developing such a module represent from 32x to 140x the price of one year of your software, without any guarantee of compatibility with future versions of Hikashop! It is therefore logical that nobody starts.That the payment module is paid for is not a problem if you apply a good long-term policy. I'm sure the Swiss shops would follow you. But developing externally is too risky and expensive.

Postfinance offers a new solution that has the advantage of solving the payment problem with TWINT. Since Postfinance is the provider you have chosen to support for Switzerland, I don't understand why you would change your logic.It is a matter of the future of Hikashop that you support your choices. TWINT is an essential technology in the field of e-commerce in Switzerland. During the COVID crisis its use exploded. Just like the demand for e-commerce. It is important to be well positioned to meet this demand.

Hikashop is already developed, and you are also paying for the support and compatibility with future versions of Joomla. However, developing another plugin from scratch will require time but we generally assure the compatibility with future versions of Hikashop if the customer allow us which is generally the case.

Also, 32 to 140 x the price of Hikashop seems a little bit too much.

Alas, this is the exact price of the two extreme offers. The lowest and the highest... I didn't want to put the numbers on it.

Hikashop is a great development. My comment is of course not a negative criticism.

The PROPHETdesign company mandated Tsuki Dev in May 2021 to develop this plugin.

The situation is difficult with postfinance, but we are reaching our goal with a lot of patience and investment of time.

At least we hope so, because with each problem resolution, a new one is added.

As said, we are at 6 months of development and we are not at the end.


We will keep you informed of the situation.
