Search Results Do Not Show If I Search When On Product Details Page was created by MyWorld
When I'm on a product details page and I enter a search term in the search box it keeps me on the page.

So for example, if I'm viewing the details of a product, then I enter a search term in the box, then I press enter, I'm still on the product details page that I'm viewing - it does not take me to the search results.

It seems to work from wherever else I am except when I'm on a product details page.

Hi Nicolas,

I sent you the URL privately.

If you go to that page, and enter a search word, for example, COACH, you will notice that it remains on the page.

Hi,

There are two things I can recommend:
- check if you have the file templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/filter.php
If you do, try renaming it in order to deactivate the view override on the filter module.
- update to HikaShop 4.2.2 as it contains several fixes on the filter system which will help with your issue.

Hi Nicolas,

I do not have a filter.php file here: templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/

I will update at some point, but can you confirm that that issue does not exists in the most recent version?

Hi,

Yes, I can confirm that we don't have that problem with the most recent version. That's why I was thinking that it might come from an old view override and recommended you to check for the templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/filter.php file.

Hi,

So the issue is coming up when the following happens.

I got a contact request email and when I click to view the product on the Front End, it takes me to the product, if I try to use the search it does not work - it's doing the same thing that I indicated in my initial post.

Hi,

I must be missing something here.
When I check the URL I have on my end from you ( search-results/product/597-brown-multi-colour-hair-scarf-elastic-scrunchie.html ) the search works fine.
Could you provide the URL where you have the problem ?

Can you check if you have the file templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/filter.php ?
If you do, try renaming it and it should help. If you don't, we would need a backend and a FTP access to check on the situation further.

Thank you for the access.
I was able to check on the situation and added a patch for that to work properly.
We'll add the patch in the next release of HikaShop.
