Hi,

Your version of the HikaShop CSS comes from version 2.4.0:
vali.se/media/com_hikashop/css/frontend_custom.css?t=1444510657
So you're missing the new CSS of the voting system which was added later.
Jerome already gave the solution in a previous message of this thread:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/3...-hikashop-2-6-1.html
So please try it.

Thanks for the solution. I've changed my css file to the default. It is working now. However its very buggy...

1. I can cast as many votes as I like. Is it supposed to be this way?
2. After casting a vote, it still says I have not voted (see attached image)?

Hi,

I tried to check on your website, but I couldn't see the vote interface:
take.ms/yXviE
Can you please make it so that we can see it ?

Hi,

Yes, I can see that now.

1. You can indeed vote several times, but it will just update your vote. It won't add a new vote actually. That way, people can update their vote if they change their opinions or if they mis clicked.

2. I don't see that : take.ms/h3G0W
Note that of course, you need to move your mouse out of the tooltip and then back on the stars to see the change in the tooltip.

Hi, im following you now. It's still kinda confusing... These are just suggestions for improvement ofcourse.

1. Is it possible, after someone cast a second, third and so on vote, can you change the translation to "Your vote has been updated"?
2. I meant, someone cast a vote. Refresh the page, it then looks like it reset. It doesn't appear like it saves the vote like for example imdb does... Of course for imdb you need to register account in order to be able to vote...

Thanks anyways

Hi,

The two behaviors your describing are indeed not good. However, I can't reproduce them on my and with the latest version of HikaShop.
The message already says "vote updated" instead of "thank you for your vote" when the vote is updated, and the tooltip properly displays the vote value instead of "no vote" if you refresh the page.
So I can only think that you might have old views overrides on your website and thus you don't have the latest improvments of the vote system. Try temporarily switching to the default template of Joomla and see if it works porperly. If it does, then rename the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/vote via FTP to something else and it should fix the problem.

Hi, I don't have any 'vote' folder in templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/vote.

I also tried switching templates. Still same.

One thing I can say is, on my localhost site. The vote system works perfectly. It is only on live server this is happening.

?

Hi,

So, might it be linked to some caching on your live website or server which would mess up the system ?
That's all I can think of.
Do you have any cache ? What if you deactivate it ?
How about a CDN like cloudflare ?
