Haven

Haven is a template for a small hotel, a B&B, a guest house or a gîte with one property, for Joomla and WordPress, built for HikaShop with its Booking and Price per category plugins. It presents the house itself, not a chain: a full-screen photograph with a dates-and-guests search over it, rooms that show their availability and a price per night, a price for each kind of traveller (adults, children, infants), guests' words, and the booking made through HikaShop's cart and checkout.

• Nine style presets for nine kinds of house: Onsen (a Japanese inn), Lagoon (a hotel on the beach, in sea blue), Glamping (tents and cabins), City, Capsule, Alpine (a chalet), Riad (a Mediterranean guest house), Rose (a bed and breakfast) and Nordic (cabins by a lake), each with its colours, fonts, corners, rooms layout and search style.
• A home page from module positions: a hero (HikaShop's Slider module) with the header floating over it, the dates-and-guests search, the house in a sentence, three tiles, the rooms, offers, guests' words, a journal and the access.
• The search is a HikaShop filter module with the Booking dates filter and the Travelers filter: the calendar opens as a popover, the button leads to the rooms and the listing hides the rooms taken on those nights.
• Rooms as photograph cards or as alternating photograph-and-text blocks, with the beds, how many it sleeps and the price per night.
• A room page with a booking panel: the extras (dinner, breakfast) as options, the stay's calendar with its availability colours, the number of nights, a table of travellers with their prices and the total, and a Book now button; on a phone a bar fixed at the bottom with the price.
• Guests' words: HikaShop's Comments module shows the best comments as quotes, and every room carries its rating and comments.
• Cart drawer, one-page checkout and a thank-you page with the booking number, a customer area for the bookings, styled login and profile forms.
• A header with an announcement bar, a Book button, a language switcher of short codes (EN, FR, JP) and the cart; a burger panel on phones; a footer of four columns.
• A hero without a photograph yet shows the preset's own motif, so a new site never looks empty.
• No photograph in the package: you bring your own photographs.
• Fonts served from your own site; custom 403, 404 and offline pages; English, French and Japanese.

• HikaShop, Business edition for the booking: the Booking and Price per category plugins (sold separately) rely on custom item fields. The template itself styles every edition.
• The free HikaShop Slider and Comments modules for the home page's hero and guests' words.
• Joomla 4, 5 or 6, or WordPress 6 or later (block theme).

• Header: announcement, topbar (the language switcher), logo, menu, header-cta (the Book button), header-icons (the cart), search.
• Home page: hero, hero-search, intro, tiles, rooms, offers, guests, journal, access.
• Content: breadcrumbs, sidebar-left, sidebar-right, main-top (the search above the rooms listing), main-bottom, bottom-a, bottom-b.
• Footer: footer-brand, footer-a, footer-b, footer-c, footer-d, footer-bottom.

• 1) Download the Haven package (tpl_haven.zip) from our website and install it in System > Install > Extensions.
• 2) Make it the default template in System > Site Templates (Styles).
• 3) Install the Booking and Price per category plugins, create a date field of the range type for the items, enable booking on your rooms and give them a price per traveller category.
• 4) Create two HikaShop filters (the Booking dates filter and the Travelers filter) and a filter module with them in the hero-search position (and main-top for the rooms listing).
• 5) Publish the HikaShop Slider module in hero, the Comments module in guests and your own modules in the other positions.
• 6) A language appears in the switcher only when it has a home menu item of its own.

• 1) Install HikaShop, then upload haven.zip in Appearance > Themes > Add New and activate it.
• 2) The front page shows the Haven home pattern. Open it in Appearance > Editor (Templates > Front Page) to add your photographs and to tick, in the settings of the HikaShop Filter block, the filters the search shows (the dates and guests filters).
• 3) Open the Shop page and choose the template Shop (with the dates and guests search) in its settings, so the search bar sits above the rooms.
• 4) Pick a preset in Styles > Browse styles.

Haven is configured from the Joomla template style editor, in four tabs.

Style

• Style preset: Onsen, Lagoon, Glamping, City, Capsule (a coordinated set of colours, two fonts, corners, listing layout and search style), or Custom to set your own values in the fields below.
• Headline font: the Google Fonts family of headings and italic copy (Custom only).
• Interface font: the family of the interface, the tables and the text (Custom only).
• Fonts served by this site: downloads the Google fonts once and serves them from your own site, so visitors' browsers never contact Google. Japanese pages use the visitor's own Japanese fonts.
• Ink: text and dark surfaces.
• Paper: the page background.
• Linen: bands and cards on the page.
• Accent: prices, rules and hover states.
• Accent on dark: the accent on the header over the hero, the footer and the dark bands.
• Brand: buttons and bands.
• Brand, deep: pressed buttons and the footer.
• Line: borders and separators.
• Muted text: secondary text.

Layout

• Room gallery: thumbnail position: below, above, left or right of the main photograph.
• Room gallery: thumbnail size: the pixel size of each square thumbnail.
• Announcement bar: a line above the header (an offer, a closing date); empty hides it.
• Show the name of the house in the header: toggles the name block.
• Logo: a picture that replaces the mark and the name.
• Name of the house: the name next to the mark.
• Line under the name: a short line under the name, for example the town.
• Favicon: the icon of the browser tab.
• Header layout: logo left with the menu beside it, or logo centred with the menu below.
• Logo size: small to extra large.
• Footer text: the line at the very bottom (copyright, legal notice).
• Header stays at the top when scrolling: sticky header.
• Back to the top button: on or off.

Booking

• Search on the home page: a rounded pill over the photograph, or a strip under it; "From the preset" follows the style preset.
• Corners: rounded or square corners for photographs, cards, buttons and fields.
• Rooms listing: cards in a grid, or alternating photograph-and-text blocks.
• Booking bar on phones: a bar fixed at the bottom of the room page with the price and the Book now button.

Effects

• Reveal duration and threshold: how long a home section takes to appear and how much of it must show first.
• Hero, the house, three tiles, rooms, offers, guests' words, journal, access: for each, a direction (none, up, down, left, right) and a delay.

• Compatible with Joomla 4.x, 5.x, 6.x and WordPress 6 or later
• Works with every HikaShop edition; the booking needs the Business edition

• When the checkout lets the customer choose between Login, Registration and Guest, the choice is shown as one rounded selector above the form, the chosen option in the template's colour. Before, the three were small plain links stacked in a narrow column.
