Carousel and MooTools

Hello,

I am having an issue with my template's Carousel and MooTools.
The tempalte that I am using has a conflict with Mootools, thus the Carousel is not responding properly.
Whenever I disable the mootools (via plugin), Carousel is working but the modules and the carousel mode that I am using through Hikashop doesnt move.

The template provider told me that I should disable JS compression and use a different library than Mootools.

Anyhow, I dont know what I should exactly. :silly:

In that case, can you test it again without any JS compression extension, and after clearing your Joomla cache ? Thank you.

Hi,

Disabling the JS compression is either done with a setting of your template or a third party plugin like JCH optimize. So I can't tell you how to deactivate it precisely as I'm not sure how you activated it.

Regarding Mootools, recent versions of HikaShop almost don't use it for the carousel (only if you have the carousel legacy option activated in the HikaShop configuration). So check that "carousel legacy" setting in the HikaShop configuration and if it's turned on, you can try turning them off.
If you don't have the setting, you'll have to update your HikaShop.

I have update the Hikashop and tun off the carousel legacy but the problem is still up. Every second image on carousel disappears.

Because the carousel displayed wrong I used a Slideshow (i liked it much better to be honest), but the rest of the carousel via hikashop module displayed wrong as well, I enabled the "carousel legacy". Maybe it is the wrong way, but I had to make it work for now.

So do you want to disable the "carousel legacy" and send you a link? What more I can do?

Well, it's up to you. If it works fine that way for you, we can leave it at that.

I will leave it that way for the time being. But I want to fix it, so it will function the right way.
I mean, I am using a legacy that I shouldnt even it is working fine...

I tested to disable the carusel legacy, clear the cache without any compression.and the results are the same.

Hi,

Can you provide a link to the page ? I don't see how the results could be the same with or without the carousel legacy.
Unless you have view overrides in your template... So check that you don't have the file templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/carousel.php
If you do, rename that file and try again.

Hi,

I've reviewed the situation on your link and the only issue I could find is that the "dot" pagination of the carousel system isn't consistent with the number of displayed elements on each page for mobile devices.
The rest seems to be working just fine.
So I'll assume that it's what you're talking about here.
I was able to reproduce the issue on my end and added a patch for it.
So download again the install package on our website and install it on yours and that issue will be fixed.

That's just a CSS issue.
You can fix that by adding such CSS on your website:

.owl-carousel .owl-item img {
    width: auto !important;
}
