hi!

I think that is only possible for my customers to get their serial for my software at this 2 ways:

1. As an image by using the attach-serial-plugin and
2. if he clicks at the billing-number in the order-status-notification-email to see it online.

but how is it possible to attach the serial(s) in the email-text at the order-status-notification-email if only the payment-status is "paid"

best regards
reinhard

Hi,

When you have the image with the plugin "attach serial", the serial (text) is also display in the email.
You can configure "when" the serial is visible in the HikaSerial configuration.
You can change how the serial is display in the email or in the orders by overriding the dedicated views.

Hi,

HikaSerial adds his content in the emails using a view: show_email_notification_html.
demo.hikashop.com/administrator/index.ph...onent=com_hikaserial

There is one view for the front-end and another for the backend.

I test the order 23 in our demo website (which have a serial attached)
demo.hikashop.com/administrator/index.ph...=order&task=edit&cid []=23

By clicking on the "email" button in the toolbar, I right see the HikaSerial content in the email.

<h1 style="color:#1c8faf !important;font-size:16px;font-weight:bold;border-bottom:1px solid #ddd;padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;">
	Additional information
</h1>
<p style="border-bottom:1px solid #ddd;padding-bottom:10px;">
		<tr>
		<td>
			<table width="100%">
				<tr>
					<td style="font-weight:bold;background-color:#DDDDDD">Serial Data</td>
					<td style="font-weight:bold;background-color:#DDDDDD">Attached to product</td>
				</tr>
				<tr>
					<td>b474c843582347d38a99a8d4383975c6</td>
					<td>Software license</td>
				</tr>
			</table>
		</td>
(note that the email should be empty for HikaShop older than 2.2.2).

hi jerome!

yes, if i do an order and its been immediately paid (for example paypal), then
in the order-status-notification is the serial. (but look at the screenshot how it looks like)

but if i'll pay with, for example, bank transfer, and then i set the payment-status manualy in the
backend to confirmed (paid) then the serial is not in the orderstatus-notification-mail as text,
only as attached serial.

best regards
reinhard

Hi,

In the order listing, when you confirm an order in the HikaShop backend, you can also modify the email content. Because the order is not yet confirmed, the mail content does not include the HikaSerial content.

Before HikaShop 2.2.1, the same problem was in the order page itself.
That's why we made some modifications in HikaShop 2.2.1 (and 2.2.2) in order to improve the way that emails are send.
So now we you confirm in the order page, you can simply check that you want notify the customer and the default email will be send (and you can modify the content).
Otherwise you can send manually an email (and with HikaShop 2.2.2, we put a nice template with a lot of data, like the order status notification email).

I recommend you to not confirm the order in the order listing (if you want to send an email in the same time).
This part will be improve in the future.
