-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0
-- HikaMarket version -- : 1.6.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

I have just set up a menu item so that logged in (frontend) vendors can update their joomla username and password.

But when a vendor updates his/her password, their vendor account suddenly become deactivated. Obviously this should not happen.

To see the problem, you can log in to the site with

email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
password: vendor

Once you log in you will see you can view vendor control panel etc.

But if you change password, then suddenly you will be denied access to the vendor control panel as your vendor rights are gone.

The Joomla user account stays active, but just the hikamarket vendor account is disabled.

I tried this on default template to see if it is a template issue but the result is the same

Thanks for any help

Hi,

I'm not able to reproduce your issue in my Joomla 3.4 website.
Would it be possible to know how you have configured the HikaMarket setting "Allow vendor registration" ?

Thanks for your reply.

With this hint I seemed to have fixed the issue.

I previously had "Vendor automatic creation" but I changed it to "Automatic validation" and the problem seems to have gone.

I just need to see if this setting is what I need. Thanks

Hi,

Would it be possible to know which user groups were selected in the "vendor automatic creation" ?
So I can see to reproduce the issue for other users who could have the same kind of issue.

You can read more about the registration settings in our HikaMarket configuration documentation :

Sorry, I missed your reply before.

The usergroup that was selected for automatic vendor creation was a custom usergroup I set up called "online vendor" and its parent was "vendor" which had the parent "registered" (see image).

I have set to manual registration for now. It was convenient having the auto vendor creation by simply upgrading the user from vendor to online-vendor so if you have any hints on a fix please let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks ; it is helping.
I updated the bug report ticket and I'll perform some tests.
A fix should be done in the next release.
