Hi HikaMarket Experts

2 quick questions
- is there an option to restrict to how many product categories a product can be assigned to? (This also applies to other fields like brands or tabs for example). I am asking because I am using HikaMarket for external vendors - form vendor perspective it is best if product is in all categories possible but this causes huge havoc in the shop search results.

- is there a way to force vendor to choose only the lowest level category? I want that all my products were assigned to lowest level only but I do not know how to force vendors to obey this rule.

Thank You
Tim

Hi,

1 - Yes, there is a setting called "Maximum categories per product" that you can find in the Vendor options.
HikaMarket > Access > Vendor options

2 - There is no such setting in HikaMarket but it is possible to do so thanks to a custom plugin.

Hi Jerome

Thank You for quick reply.
I tried HikaMarket > Access > Vendor options but it does not work.
Please have a look on the screenshoot - these are my settings. Despite that I can create product with unlimited number of categories and price below minimum price of 1.
Do I need to do anything else to make this option work?
If not - can You please go to my website and check why it is not working - I have already provided all logon data thru contact form on Hikashop website.

Just 2 more more questions please -

1. when I add new product by default "Product category" is assigned to category field - Is there a way to disable or change it?
2. I know there there is a way to make all product boxes have the same height. I have seen it on some of Your tutorial videos and I cannot find it. Can You please let me know how to do it. Currently on my main page there is a mess: s339467542.domenastandartowa.pl/db2/

Thank You

Hi,

1 - Please provide screenshots of your configuration.
Maybe you have send some credentials in the past but the tickets are HikaShop release and not related to HikaMarket and the support I provide.

2 - There is no real setting for that ; You can use the "product template", a custom plugin or a view override to do so.
By default the product category use the data from the "product template" or the current browsing category (when the vendor is displaying the list of the products)

3 - This is the HikaMarket support forum. For your HikaShop questions ; please use the HikaShop forum section.

Hi Jerome

Thank You for help - I know I am a pain.
Would You like me to send You any particular screenshoot of configuration or all config?
If it is all config this will be really a big document.
I believe You already have login data to my website backed - can You maybe check it there?:

Hi,

About the configuration ; I'm talking about the vendor accesses ; the element that we're currently talking about.
For the credentials ; I'm sorry but we didn't keep track that kind of information and we do not store users/clients passwords in our browsers.

OK I found the issue. Vendor was not by default assigned to any user group and the ACL settings are by group. In vendor display page there is a bat ACL and there I assigned the vendor. It works.
Thank You

Hi,

Thanks for the report.
I think that I will add a task in the TODO list in order to force the usage of the "public" group if the vendor do not have any vendor group in his configuration.
