Is it possible to redirect to cart/checkout when an item is added to the cart?

-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.7
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.30

Is it still possible to redirect to cart/checkout when an item is added to the cart? If so, how do I do that?

Yes ; you just have to unpublish the plugin "cart notification".
