retail price and taxes of calculation

Hi,
I would like to understand what is the Retail Price field because whatever price you enter in this field is displayed and calculated in the cart always the main price.

Hi,

The "Retail price" is the short term for "MSRP": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suggested_retail_price
It's the price that the manufacturer recommend his product to be sold at.
This is just a field you can use to display that price above yours as an information to your customers to tell you basically that you're cheaper than the MSRP.
