Hi,
Our store is up and running and starting to make sales. Regarding taxes, the client is located in the state of Michigan. The state of Michigan does not require sales tax to be charged to out-of-state purchasers. Only for purchasers who live in the state of Michigan.
I think I accomplished this but want to double check.
I created a tax called Michigan sales. I set it to the required six percent.
From the tax zones options, I selected and applied state of Michigan.
Everything looks right,. Is that all there is to it?
Thanks again,

Hi,

You need to be careful of the "tax category". Check the tax category of your products. By default, it should be the "default tax category" tax category. So in your tax rule, you need to also select that tax category.
Besides that, you should be all good.
