about custom field / category

Hi

1-Does hikashop support translation for custom field ?
2-Does hikashop support translation for category product?

3-I see when edit custom field that there is a form for select category . what is the aim of having a relation beetween custom field and category ?

Hi,

1. Yes. Enter a translation key in the field and then add that translation key as a translation override and that should do it.

2. Sure. With Falang, when you edit a category, you can use the flags there to translate the category content.

3. This area only appears for custom fields of the tables "item", "product", "category", and "order".
- "item" & "product" : the field will be displayed for the product if the product is in at least one of the categories of the field.
- "category" : the field will be displayed for the category if the category is a child of the category of the field.
- "order" : the field will be displayed on the checkout if at least one product in the cart is in at least one of the categories of the field.

The field will be display but like static/raw text for give information without dynamic functionnalities ( link ? ) I have to test or see capture screen to better understand .Does this functionnalities is implemented/use in the demo website ? ... if yes for wich product ?

have a demo is really nice ( it a shame that now there is too many ACL restriction that prevent us to study the website from the back end side )

Hi,

1. I don't understand what you're talking about. Custom fields and Falang are both available on the demo website. So you can translate your content. Translation overrides are not possible on the demo website for security reasons.

2. What do you mean ? Besides the configuration of HikaShop and Joomla, all the backend of the demo website is available.
And the problem is that a hacker tried to hack the demo website, so we had to tighten up a bit the security on the demo website. It can't be helped.
