Payment method extra charges was created by Beherit
Is there a way to add extra charges when a payment option is selected (for example cash on delivery charging an extra €2 which is the real charge)?

It's not currently possible but it's already in the todo list. We are planning on looking into it next month.

Thanks Nicolas for your fast reply. I am looking forward for that as it is very important to inform people how much they will pay including all extra costs before they press "next" in final step. You know sometimes they claim that they hadn't see the labels about paying method costs and that's where problems start.

Normally the "collect on delivery" payment method has two options: 1) extra cost 2) maximum order to be applied.
I understood that for the first option we have to wait for a new development.
What about the second? Is there some way to set it in the current version ?
(I have a professional edition)

You can do the second point via shipping methods restrictions:
duplicate your shipping methods, with one set with a minimum price of X and the other set with a maximum price of Y.
Then, configure your payment methods to be restricted to the corresponding shipping methods.

I assume this feature (extra charges for specific payment methods) has not been implemented yet? I'm also waiting for it :-) I thought it was already in there but couldn't find it so searched here and found this topic...

It is already here.
You have a "price" and a "percentage" field in each payment method in the latest version of HikaShop in order for you to configure that.
