read more button

I have the Hikashop business. On the product page there is a read more button. How does this work? All I can get is a red line on the back end and no change on the front end. I'm trying to shorten the article unless the customer chooses to read the whole thing.

The read more button is not for that. The read more button is to separate the description of product into two parts so that the first part can be displayed on listings when the listings are configured to display product descriptions.

There is no option to do what you want.
