MultiVendor Functionality for Hikashop?

I'm a Hikashop user and i am happy with it. But i have clients that demand for multi vendor store. I just want to know if you plans to develop it or you started it already and when is the expected release?

Plans for my multi vendor store:
-Integrate with Jomsocial for vendor
-vendor can add tax and shipping in frontend
-vendor have their own store-page
-jomsocial user to be a vendor upon registration.
-jomsocial user(vendor) can resell other vendor products with a commission.
-user(vendor) can pay using points (AlphaUserPoints)


I need to know so I can look for something else. I like the way your product works and it is quiet affordable.

We are currently working on a multi vendor feature for HikaShop.
There is no expected release date for now but we would like to release it in a few months.

Thank you for your input on functionalities you'd like. We'll have them in mind while developing it.

This feature if in place will make HIKASHOP outstanding from any other cart available in the market for joomla as of today. However I do understand that you may have some more urgent features to implement first before moving further on this.

Don't worry, we know that this is a feature asked by a lot of people. We're a small team, so we're doing what we can. We hope too to be able to move forward with it and release it in the not so distant future.

hikashop is great and having multi vendor would set you apart and generate good income. I would pay good money for it! cs cart, iscripts multi cart are absolute rubbish and ixxo is pricey. I see rumours of development in hikashop team for multi vendor capability but nothing concrete. is anythng planned for 2012 ?

It's not only rumors.
We've been working on it for several months.
We're now close to have something ready. You'll have to wait a few more weeks. It will definitely be there before the end of the year.
