After reading the documentation i became aware of something that wasn't actually that straightforward. when you add a product in the backend you are given the options of putting in the
Sale start :
Sale end :
For most people they would interpret this as when the product is 'on sale' as in when it is discounted. I think the default wording (i know i can override the wording myself) in the core extension should be changed.
My suggestions would be to change it to "Product Available To Buy start" or "Able To Buy start" or "Product Can Be Bought start" or "Product Available start" etc.
And then leave the term "Sale" to be used for discounts etc.
