Promote additional products before checkout?

Hello there,

I would like to try and get customers to buy an 'add-on' product if they add 'Product A' to their cart.
For example, when a client adds a 'printer' to their cart, they would also be offered the option to add some 'printer paper' to their cart. Ideally this action would occur before getting to checkout.

What would be the best way to do that (if there is a way), or what options do I have?

it is possible that a custom field type item to market a product with a price.
and to check it or uncheck in the cart.

This would be an additional product is shaped checkbox

Hi,

Custom fields cannot change the price of the products in the cart, or add fees to the cart. It would require a custom hikashop plugin to be developed in order to handle what you want.
So it's not impossible to do it like that but it will require a PHP developer to help with that.
