Hi Ian,
Yes the badge plugin should be able to do it for you.

I second that. I have played around and I cant seem to get badges to do anything. What should it do and am I missing something.
What are the steps to getting this to do anything.
Cant find documentation on this.

Thanks for that.

I can see how its supposed to work, but I create a badge, assign to category and publish it and nothing happens.

Is there another option elsewhere which enables badges?

Think I must be missing the plugin, everything works except for the product details page, and can't find a plugin for that anywhere?

Have you modified the "listing_img_title" view at all?
This has changed with the update and contains new code to show the badges.

I dont think that the badges are able to be on the product detail page, only on the product listings.

Nope, no custom views, this is a complete new installation, if you look at the documentation it shows the actual product detail with the free shipping badge on it :-(

Hi everyone,

It's possible to display badges on a product page don't worry about it :).
About ianspeed's problem, it may come from your template or something similar. Try to find the view used to display your product page (in display>views by typing "show" in the search field) and check if anything about badges is in. If you can't find this out, PM me an access to your backend so i'll be able to check.

Thanks Eliot, will do. Although this was a new installation of Joomla 2.6 and 1.5.9 Hikashop download with an auto upgrade to 1.6 but will check now.

I just checked and it seems it was a small bug.
Everything is working fine now.

If anyone has a problem with this (badges don't display in product page) just replace your show_block_img with the attached file.

I guess this will be fixed in the next release and we can remove the custom view when we update.
