The modal popup styling is handled by your joomla template in the component.php file of the template.
From what I can see, your CSS in the component.php file of your template has a min-width too big (there shouldn't be any) and does not include the CSS for the buttons styling.
You will have to contact your template provider so that he can help you correct the component.php file of your template or ask a designer to correct that.

There is no option in HikaShop to open the checkout in the popup.

It will require to add your own button with an image as you suggest:
