Manual Freight

I've just started setting up Hika Shop after extensive evaluation of many e-Commerce solutions.
Top marks for functionality and simplicity! It's a great product.
I would like clarification of just one point I have observed.

If I use a manual shipping rate with a flat rate of (say) $7.00) per shipment, it seems that I still need to include some (irrelevant) value in the 'Weight' field of each product/variant, otherwise it returns a 'no shipping method found' error.

Am I missing something?

You can enable the "force shipping regardless of weight" option in the configuration (System>Configuration>Checkout).
It will do what you want
