How to show date with Product

Hi,

Would like to know how to configure a date selection with a product.

For example, if its a cake shop, when a particular cake is selected, then they should also select a date when they require?

Have explored the Characteristics and variants option but not able to show the date.

Pl guide how to get this to work.

Hi,

For your problem I think that you need the custom fields.
You can create a custom field on the table "item" and set the type as "date".

This kind of custom fields in only available in the Business edition of HikaShop.

a) Is the custom fields not available in Essential.

b) When upgraded, can it be done from frontend or need to manually add to the table via SQL.

My mistake, available in Essential too.

When upgraded, you will just have to create this field in backend, then the customer will have the field to fill on the product page.
