Change/add info captured on registration

HI,

Have a site that sells digital tickets. Database has some users from the last years event ( it is a yearly concert for charity).
We would like to collect more data from users. Since product is weightless, shipping info is not required and system does not ask for your address etc.
I know that on hikashop site you are asked to put your details even item is not actually shipped. How can we do that??

We would like the returning guests to fill in missing info as well as address fields for the new registrations.
Or if we can just capture the country and town people are from.

How do you have configured the checkout workflow ?
Because you can set the steps "login" and "address" and disable the option "login" and the address informations should be asked.

Or you can add custom fields in the table "order" for the country and the town.
