Search plugin

Hello,

I am looking to add to my search results by having not only the Product name and description shown but also the product code and price shown. I have looked into the search plugin but i am at a bit of a loss on how to do it.

Hello there,

You actually don't need to edit any code. The product listing is made according to the menu you set in the filter module configuration.
So just change the menu number or edit the related menu to make it display the product as you wish

Thank you for the reply but it wasn't the shop section where I wanted to product code but when people use the search.

That is the joomla search.
Joomla search results cannot be customized so easily as HikaShop product listings.
You would have to edit the view files of the search component and then load the data yourself and then display it... Quite complex stuff even if you're a developer.

It will be easier to simply use our filtering system which can allow you to search on products with way more options than joomla's search an the results will be displayed as a product listing in HikaShop with all the display options that are available for HikaShop products listings:
