different categorys different view options

Hallo.

I wanted to discuss the possibility to have each category different sort order and/or view options like casual, list ecc.

I have different product categorys on which i have fix products with illimited pieces and some with unique pieces. Is there any possibility to think about to handle the system > configuration > view options for each category without creating a menu for each category?

for example it would be interesting for my point of view to handle the predefined options for the categorys in the category window when i create the category.

Everything is possible, but there are already so many options... Adding yet again more options doesn't go in the direction we want to go. Also, so far, this doesn't seems to interest a lot of people since you're the first one requesting it.

You can also use custom category fields to define what you want per category and then modify the views to handle the custom fields based on the current category if you're a developer or hire one to do it for you.
