Virtuemart template usable in Hikashop?

Hello,

We are in the process of setting up a new website for our business. We thought of Virtuemart first as have worked with VM before, but after much consideration (someone strongly advised us not to use VM) we decided to choose another e-commerce solution. We already bought a template for VM, as it is based on Joomla as well, my question is if it is possible to use this template (Nano) with the Hika shop extension? It is a great template .

Yes, HikaShop will work with any Joomla template, even the ones with specific styling for virtuemart.

Thanks! After I just typed this I realised this template is for joomla 2.5 as VM does not support Joomla 3x yet. Will this influence the template when I will use this with Hikashop and Joomla 3x?

HikaShop works the same on Joomla 3.x and 2.5 so on our end, no problem regardless of the version of Joomla.
If the template is not marketed for Joomla 3.x you should contact them to see if it can run on Joomla 3.x. You might have to buy another template if you want to Joomla 3.x.
