Hikashop in multiple regions

This is a general question about a specific case.

I am running Hikashop in one country but have been asked to expand the business into the neighboring countries. The products we sell are localized so we need to present a different set of products depending on where the consumer is located. What would be the best way to run a one shop deployment aimed at four different countries?

I know this is a very general question but before i dive into the details myself I just want to make sure it is doable. A very basic description on what mechanisms to use for this solution would be most helpful and valuable to me, just to send me off in the right direction.

If I left out any info just let me know.

Thanks!

Hi,
The best solution will probably be to do it by using Access levels, and restrict the access to your product regarding your user group.
Note that ACL are available through the business version of Hikashop.

Also Using the User Group FTW For Hikashop plugin will probably help you.

Thanks for your reply Mohamed.

If we use acl it would require the users to register and log in before seeing the products right? I am more inclined towards maybe using the IP address to determine their location and then present them with a set of suitable products. We sell audiobooks so we want to make sure we display books in the correct language. I am still a bit in the dark as to what I need to do to make this work. :-/

Then, why not use the language of the browser of the user instead of the IP location (which might not be accurate) ?
Doing that should be quite easy to setup.
You first create a custom product (commercial editions of HikaShop) field (with the column name "product_lang") so that you can select a language for each product (with the language code for each one like fr-FR de-DE, etc) and then you install and publish the hide products per language plugin:
