Selling product uplisting

I am looking at a multi-vendor solution where vendor could pay the site owner to have his products listed first (or higher than the default order is). Is this something that HikaShop muli-vendor does or is there a plugin to do that?

HikaMarket is an add-on for HikaShop which allow to add multi-vendor (marketplace) feature into your store.
You can use HikaMarket an a subscription component (akeeba subs, emerald) in order to have vendors who have to pay a subscription to have an activate account and sell their products in your store.

I see. I was more looking for a kind of advertising feature where if I am one of the merchant I can pay XX so my products get listed first (while all other merchants do not pay). Is that available?

The payment for publishing is not available directly.
It is still require a custom plugin for the moment in order to have your own and specific workflow.
Because for the feedback we got, we had several kind of different workflow and we wouldn't generalize it if it did not feet to everyone.

The idea behind the custom plugin is to let the products unpublished by default and by buying a specific product (that you have to define in your workflow), the confirmation of the order will publish the targeted vendor product.
