I would recommend updating to HikaShop 6.0.0:

We've increased the default cart_batch_removal_quantity so you don't have to add it in the database. But you can still add it in the database if you want to change the value. As I said on that other thread, you want to add it to the config table. So it's normal you don't find it there by default.
We've also added a bot check which will help reduce the amount of carts.
Regarding the second thread, I said to modify the robots.txt file to disallow add to cart links:

That file is already on your website. You can edit it via FTP.
