Problem with sef
-- Joomla version -- : 5.3.x
-- PHP version -- : 8.4.x
Hi!
I have a problem in my production ready shop system. I faced an issue with the sef system.
What happens?
If I click from the homepage into the cart, the URL to the checkout (from cart view) looks like this: www.domain.com/checkout/chechout/ - it doubles the "checkout".
If I click from a category or product page into the cart, the URL to the checkout (from cart view) looks like this: www.domain.com/product/chechout/ - every following step contains the product name in the url.
I think this is not so good.

If you haven't done it already, create a menu item of the type "HikaShop checkout".
Go to the HikaShop configuration page.
There, under the "Checkout" tab, you can select your HikaShop checkout menu item in the "Force a menu on checkout" setting:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...ml#checkout_checkout
This way, this menu item will always be used for the checkout, and there will be only one URL to access it.

I already did!

You first said:
On your homepage, if I look at the "Zur Kasse" button of the cart module, the link is /warenkorb/checkoutIf I click from the homepage into the cart, the URL to the checkout (from cart view) looks like this: www.domain.com/checkout/chechout/ - it doubles the "checkout".
Then, you said:
On your website, if I go to the menu item "Figuren > Waldifiguren" I get the URL /figuren/waldfigurenIf I click from a category or product page into the cart, the URL to the checkout (from cart view) looks like this: www.domain.com/product/chechout/ - every following step contains the product name in the url.
There, the URL of the "Zur Kasse" button of the cart module is still /warenkorb/checkout
And if I open the page of a product, like /figuren/geschnitzter-holzfaeller-serie-7cm , the URL of the "Zur Kasse" button of the cart module is still /warenkorb/checkout
So the URL to access the checkout is consistent everywhere I could check on your website and it doesn't double "checkout".
So, I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe I didn't understand what your problem is. If so, could you please try to explain again what the problem is ?

I created the mentioned menu (type hikashop cart) -> named as "warenkorb". Then - in the cart and checkout - the url is shown as "warenkorb" (the menu) AND "checkout" - if I understand it right, this should not happen.
But you're right, if I open the cart right from a product page there's no more wrong url. Not sure how this was fixed ...

In the HikaShop configuration page, you have the "Checkout SEF name" setting to manage the second "checkout" text in the URL of the checkout. What do you have in there ?
Do you have the text "checkout" maybe ? What if you empty that setting ?

It's already empty.nicolas wrote: What do you have in there ?

I think the issue might come from a detail you missed.
I said you create a menu item of the type HikaShop Checkout, but it seems you created a menu item of the type HikaShop Cart.
In that case, HikaShop has to add the "checkout" part at the end in order to display the checkout, not the cart page.
Change the menu item type to HikaShop Checkout and it should produce the URL you want.

Ah, yes! That's it! Thanks!
But ... this menu item is marked as "legacy". So the use is not the best way I guess.

You should normally find both:

If you don't see the "Checkout" one, it means that you have a translation override on the translation key used there.
