Has anyone requested a way to show the buyer where the product is located in the world? Perhaps a country of origin tab somewhere?

Hi,

It could be done using custom fields.
The vendor would be able to fill the custom field in the front-end and this value would be displayed directly in the website, without any modification.
Just create a "product custom field".
And you can use a text type of a zone type if you want to let the vendor select his country in the dropdown.
