Move categories in vendor directory

Hi Jerôme

I have opend 2 vendors in the main vendor category but they should be in a subdirectory. Is there a way i can move it together with the products i have already opend for them?

Hi,

In the HikaShop backend, you can move the vendor category like a classical category.
So you should be able to got the structure you want even if the category is already created ; just edit it to change his parent.

I can display the vendors perfectly. When i have vendors within a subcategory, eg. areas, is it possible to show them within the main (parent) category?
I cannot figure it our.

Currently i can show all vendors on a page.
eg. walliser-weine.ch/shop/index.php/de/weinproduzenten-shop

I hope to get soon a lot more vendors which could be located in the same village. Therefore i would like to setup a separat page ordered by villages and then the vendors.

Hi,

The system has been designed to be overridable thanks to plugins.
Using the trigger "onBeforeVendorCategoryCreate" (and "onBeforeVendorCategoryUpdate") you can modify the category parent id before the creation of a vendor category.
So you can change the category place dynamically depending the data you want.

There is no generic plugin to do so because it's difficult to provide a plugin which can feet to all requirements ; because it's too specific we just create a plugin entry point so you can implement your own specific rule.
