Report - Sales by category

Hi

Is it possible to produce a Sales by Category report?
I would like to list sales (date, order, value) sorted by category (and ideally within a date range).

Is this possible with the current reporting system or would I need to build it myself?

Hi,

With HikaMarket 1.6.2 you can add some reports using a view override or thanks to a plugin (onVendorPanelDisplay).
I made some improvements for the next version where it will be easier to create report which will have a configuration in the backend ; even if you can have some configuration in your plugin.

The goal of the reports in HikaMarket is to provide a SQL query and some parameters to indicate the HikaMarket how display the result.
Having more details about the report you want to add will help us to see your requirements and help you to add that report in your front-end.

Thanks for the update, sounds interesting.
I am putting together a site for a sports clothing company. They supply to sports clubs and want to offer the club £200's worth of kit when club members spend a total of £2000 through the site.
The approach I have taken is to create a category for each club and add the club's clothing products to the category. Ideally the report would list the total sales per category for a selected period.

Hi,

The next version will help the creation of reports using plugins but the report you want will not exist more.
You can add report in the current version like you will be able to add report in the next one ; but we will improve a little bit the triggers to have something better.

So my suggestion is to start today the creation of your report and you will see afterwards, if you use one or the other trigger for the inclusion into HikaMarket.
