Entering new Brands in HikaMarket front end

We'd like the capability to enter new Brands in the HikaMarket front end.

My client is a product distributor with lots of line items and lots of brands.

They intend to use a subcon to load and edit products.

I'd like to keep all the subcons tasks in the front end.

Having the capability for the subcon to load Brands would save us extra steps in the product loading process.

Is this possible ?

Hello,

The HikaMarket category edition, using an admin account, could allow to create categories under the "brand category".
But there is a restriction in HikaMarket code so only "product" and "vendor" categories can be edited ; and only "product" categories can be created.
It requires some development (and test) but the feature is possible.
The only condition is that only the main vendor would be able to edit or create brands (which would be always your case since you're using the "front-edition" version of HikaMarket)

The development is to remove some security code, so we need to be prudent and not allows Vendors to be able to edit the brands categories while they shouldn't !
