Unable to change category from frontend

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- HikaMarket version -- : 1.6.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.29

Each time I try to change the category of a product from the front end it reverts to 'Product Category'. It looks like the problem reported earlier

except that I am trying to change it to a sub-category. All permissions have been set correctly.

It all works OK from the Hikashop back end.

I have figured out what is happening. It was the same problem that was reported in an earlier thread. I had created a new category under the root and had put the products in sub-categories under that.
I will move my top category so that it is a child of 'product category' which will then allow categories to be added from the front end.
