Edit buttons not functioning on front end

I have been editing orders from the backend, but today tried from the front to find that the main editing buttons do nothing (edit status, e-mail, invoice, shipping invoice). I am logged in as a super user... what am I missing?

The four buttons in your screenshot are opening a popup.
So there are two possibilities :

1 - You have javascript errors in your page.
But in that case, the rest of the ajax interface would have also issues.

2 - The "popup mode" system you have configured in HikaShop is not compatible with your template.
