Vendor Payment screen

One of my customers purchased a book on my website, but I don't see the vendor payment screen so that I can pay the vendor his commission. I've looked through the documentation to see where it is, but it was no help. On the vendors page, I see their names, email addresses, Orders Unpaid. How do I manually pay my vendors? PayPal is the chosen method.

Hi,

When you open an order in the backend, you will see a part near the bottom for HikaMarket.
It will list the "sub orders" for the vendors, and you will see the vendor price.

More than that, when you see a vendor in HikaMarket backend, you have a button to "pay" the vendor.
At this moment you will have to select the unpaid orders that you want to manually pay. HikaMarket let you choose a "manual" paiement or a "paypal" one.
If you choose "paypal", it will redirect you to paypal to pay the vendor (using the vendor's paypal email address).

May I jump in on this? Something is not clear to me.

So we have a pay button to pay our vendors. But is there a button available for vendors to request a payment. Vendors see the sales and decide to get paid....push button. Please pay me. Something like that.

There is no feature like that for the moment.
The main vendor should take the decision and choose the orders that he want to pay.
If the vendor wants to be paid, he can contact the store directly but there is not feature for that because the vendor can't select the orders that he want to be paid for. So if the feature do nothing else than sending an email to the admin, I think that a joomla contact form will do the thing.

We would REALLY like to see something in the front end so Vendors can see how much they are due -- meaning, if the store takes 10% per product, something which shows that they will be getting say $45 for the $50 product shipped.

Right now, HikaMarket vendors can see only orders as they are presented to the purchaser, but not showing "how much they make" on each item, and most importantly an itemisation of how much they are due to be paid and the total.

That is the missing link in functionality with paying vendors and allowing them to see what they are owed.

What would you want to display exactly to your vendors ?
How do you imagine the interface ?

The order management is currently under re-factoring and we want to let the vendor see the products' vendor price (as he can see the vendor total).
For the rest, some ideas and feedback would be highly appreciate

Because vendors have a de facto "account" with the store, we'd like to be able to show a simple history of transactions to the vendor, with a current balance.

This "Vendor Statement" would be useful to the vendor to see how much they have actually earnt (separate from the the order totals), and what their current balance is.

I put it in the TODO list ticket. For the moment I don't know what I'll do exactly but we will improve that part.
The first step would be a button for the vendor which will send an email to the admin to notify that the vendor wants to be paid.

From what I've observed here -- many people have vendors who could greatly benefit from allowing their vendors to see their balance and at least recent transactions on their accounts.

It would go a great way to minimise misunderstandings between the store owner and the vendors.

The balance is currently display the vendor dashboard.
The vendors can also have some details in the order listing and if required, with a little view override you can display extra information (place the "full total" and the "vendor total" ; put a mark in the listing for paid orders...)

Displaying information about the product fees and commission for the vendors are not available or displayed in HikaMarket.
So for my point of view, that task would have a higher priority ; like the fact to add a new email to let the vendor ask for his payment..
I have to provide features which will be useful to a maximum of users ; with the variety of modes and the diversity of usage, it is not always easy to have a global vision ; specially when I'm not aware of all HikaMarket usages.

I hope that you understand my point of view.
I'm open to suggestions and argumentation ; HikaMarket is a component made for his users.

If you are re-facturing then it would be good to work on payment as well. As it is now I can't pay my vendors. The payment button does not work. I only get a white screen when using the pay button.
Now I calculate payments manually and do payments manually. This needs to be handled better in hikamarket.

I got the same white screen when I used the the 'pay' button.

Please check your PHP error log in order to get the error message.
If we cannot have information about the error and his source ; I'm afraid that we won't be able to fix the problem (because we first need to know there the problem is ; or be able to reproduce it).

The Joomla error log file is not the PHP error log file.
At least you can set temporally the "error reporting level" to "maximum" in your Joomla global configuration ; it should also show you the error message in the page instead of the complete white screen.
But the PHP error log (which is related to your web hosting) is generally more "pratical" because it is always available and do not interfere with your visitors.

With error reporting set to maximum I do not get an error message on the white screen that I get.
I think I found the error_log file on my server. This file shows information that 'follows' my actions, at least looking at the recorded time indicators. It does not show any errors related to terms like 'hikamarket vendor payment'.
How do I get this file to you?
You may also have access to the backend if that's more convenient.
