Vendor user groups and access

Please help me organise my levels. Right now a normal customer is registered and entered in the "Registered" Group.

How do i configure the Hika Market vendor access level and group?

What group should i create and what should i connect it to?

It will highly depend on what you want to do.
Do you want to have special vendor rights depending a user group ?
Do you want an automatic creation of the vendor account for every users or just for specific users ?

I want my vendors to be able to add their products and the administrator has to confirm the vendor account.

So you want a vendor registration with manual validation.

There is nothing to do with the user groups ; the best is to provide a vendor registration form to your users and only the user who want to become vendor will submit it. Then you will receive an email and be able to approve or not the vendor.

But shouldn't a vendor have a different user group than the customers?

Hi,

It's not an obligation but it is useful if you want to have some specific menus using the Joomla ACL.

Even if the vendor creation is manual ; you can use the HikaMarket plugin "vendor user group" which will change the user group of the user after the vendor creation.
