Problems with Customer Registration was created by matps
Hi There,
So what I've done, I've edited the Joomla Login module so that it links to a Hikashop registration page. If you got to www.craftkeg.com/ and click on 'Create an account' you'll then be taken to the registration page.
Now I have 3 problems,
1: "Are you over 18?" is already pre-ticked, is there a way to have that be blank as default.
2: After registering, it says it has sent a confirmation email with a link needed to activate the account. However, it seems the user is already registered at that point and can use the site freely.
3: After clicking the link, it logs me into the site but to a page that says "The checkout is empty" or something along those lines, which doesn't make sense as they haven't ordered anything yet!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Matthew

Hi,
1 - Edit the custom field, remove the required and change the value for the "default value". Apply and then re-set the "required" without touching the "default value".
2 - You have to change the Joomla configuration for the registration process. HikaShop call Joomla for the user creation and then make his own "business" for the HikaShop user and address.
3 - It seams that the given link is a "checkout" link. It redirect the user to the checkout (because most of time the user create an account during the checkout). It is linked to the activation process which is implemented in the checkout part.
We will see to improve it in a future release.
4 - Well, HikaShop call Joomla with the activation code given in parameter. I don't even know why sometimes it does not work.
