No products showing after upgrade/migration

Hello there,

i've got an issue after upgrade/migartion from joomla 1.5 to joomla 3.2. First everything is working fine, all categories and products are in the backend but not in the frontend. I can see the categories but if i click on a category to see the products i see no products and i don't know why. The debug mode say nothing no error.

What can i do?

Hi,

In the backend thanks go in the menu Product > Categories and click on "Rebuild" in the toolbar.
Then create again your menus / modules to display the products.

You can too check in the product edition pages if they are assigned to the correct category.

thanks i forgot to create a module now it's showing the products.
Now i have to figure it out how i can show the prices in den detail view.

I can't find the option maybe you can help me?

sure i'll try.

In the category product list view you can say that the product price is showing or not ? But if i click on a product the price is not show, i will show you an example.

This is the originall website in joomla 1.5

You see the price and the informations about weight and so on are not showing.

Thanks to check in the product edition page if you have the dimension informations correctly filled.
If it is, thanks to copy / paste the views override you made from 1.5 to 3.2.

there are all the informations in the products and no template overrides for hikashop.

Any other suggestions? I need to fix that asap.

Hi,

I do see the product pages on your website.
For example:

However, I see that you have added custom CSS in the frontend CSS of HikaShop which removes the display of the product name and the price on the product pages.
Remove the CSS:
.hikashop_product_top_part {
width: 100%;
display: none;
}
and the CSS:
.hikashop_product_right_part {
padding-left: 1px;
margin-top: 10px;
overflow: hidden;
height: 17px;
margin-right: 27px;
margin-left: 27px;
}

from the frontend CSS that you can edit in the Display tab of the configuration and the price and name of the products will display again on the product page.

ok i almost have it. I'm using the old views from joomla 1.5 and so far it's working but the images/thumbnails are not correct and i need
help with this. This is me first time working with hikashop so i'm sorry for the questions.

Hi,

The image thumbnails generation system has changed a lot since then. You should apply your view modifications to the new versions of the views (by first clicking on the "remove customization" icon of the views listing for the product views and then reapplying your changes to the new versions). That way, the thumbnails of the products will display fine.

thanks finally it's working now and looks like the joomla 1.5 version. Last question
in the category view the categories order is always random how can i switch to category order?
In the module it is and not random.

When i refresh the site the order is changing every time.

Hi,

Go in the menu Display->Content menus, edit the menu with the id 57 and make sure that the "random" option there is turned off.
