This indicates a fatal error on that page.
Go in your Joomla configuration page and turn on debug mode option and set the error reporting option to maximum. Then try again and it should display an error message at the bottom explaining what's going wrong.

Did you turn on the error reporting ? Did you check the products listing page ?
If you don't see the error there, then it means that your web server configuration is forcing PHP to not display the errors, even if you try to activate it.
In that case, you need to look for the fatal error message in your PHP error log. In you don't know where to access it, you can ask your hosting company support.

In the backend and product listing page, I would like to have the capability of changing the quantity and the price of each product. I'm pretty sure that action is needed on the code of the page. Can you give me some suggestions?

For that it will require customizations in the product / listing view in the backend template.
It require good PHP knowledges to handle the save of the values etc, calling custom controllers...

What I recommend for this kind of things is to use our Mass Actions system, in System > Mass actions create a new action with the data "product" and in the action, select "Display the results", check the desired fields to display.
This will display a dynamic table listing your entries, and when double clicking on a field, you can edit the value and it will save it in database

I have just ried in demo site the function "Mass Action system". It seems completely satisfay my request.
