HikaShop component menu disappeared after update

After installing the latest version I get the following error message:

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 SQL=UPDATE `#__menu` SET `rgt`=`rgt`-0 WHERE `rgt`>=

After that, the HikaShop menu item disappears from the Component menu in the back-end.

At least he front-end seems to be working now.

Any ideas where to go with this?

Hi,

This means that there is a problem with the menu item structure on your website. Try to click on the "rebuild" button of the Joomla menu manager and then run the install of HikaShop again and that might be better.
Note that you can also directly access the backend of HikaShop with the URL www.mywebsite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_hikashop

I tried re-uploading the latest HikaShop update again with no luck.

Hi,

If even the rebuild button of Joomla is not able to fix your menu item structure, it's pretty messed up.
Apparently, you're missing the root entry of your menu items in the menus table of Joomla.
You could try this solution in your PHPMyAdmin:

That will manually add the root menu item to that table. Then, run the rebuild process again, and then install HikaShop again.
