Site registration issues

WARNING

An error was encountered while sending the registration email. A message has been sent to the administrator of this site.

When people try to register on our site they get a notice/warning (see screenshot.)

On the backend it shows that the people are registered and can use the site, but they do not know this. This just started 2 days ago, and we have not been into the backend in that time.

How can I fix this?

Hi,

The error "Could not instantiate mail function" means that there is a problem with contacting your email server for the sending of the email.
Check that the email settings in the Joomla configuration are still correct and check with your hosting company if there is any problem with your emails.

Also, do you receive other emails ? Like the ones after the order ?
