recently installed, and when a person goes to register, it does not give an option for the State of Queensland or Australian Capital Territory for Australia.

Hi,
Do you see the other states ?
If so, can you check the autralia zone in the System>Zones menu. You should have all its states listed in its sub zones listing.
Also, make sure that these state zones are published in the System>Zones menu.

Thanks, just looked and they are missing there, with two blank lines.
Just add them back in there, or is there a proper/better way to do it ?

added the states in, and there's still two blank entries up the top.
next question, can you set a 'default state', rather than the first one coming up ? .... not a big issue, just be nice.

Hi,
Yes. Go in the menu Display>Custom fields. Edit the country custom field and make sure that your country is the default one and save it once (just to make sure). Then, edit the state custom field and you'll be able to select among the states of the default country for the default state.
