What is the solution for Radius Delivery

Hello,
we have a little tiny issue, which is the radius for delivery, meaning when a customer wants to order it should be a drop-down box comes asking for pick up or delivery, if its delivery he has to put his delivery address, based on that address we should know is it deliverable address or not because the distance from the store has been calculated, I read in many areas around the forms that it has to be a custom plugin, or do you have request to this feature? Thanks

For pickup or delivery choice here is what we usually recommend:
On top of your delivery shipping methods that you already created in the System>Shipping methods menu, you create a new manual shipping method that you call "pickup" and in its options, you can use the "Override shipping address" in order to deactivate the shipping address area to replace it by your store address, some text, etc.
That way, during the checkout, on top of the standard shipping methods, the customer will be able to choose the pickup shipping method.

Regarding a solution taking into account the GPS coordinates of the customer address, there is nothing by default so that would require some plugin development. We did get a few demands to have a shipping plugin whereby the shipping cost would be a formula based on the distance between some coordinates entered in the backend and the coordinates of the customer address, even though that's a bit different to what you're asking, but there is no ready-made solution for that either for now.

Hello Nick, the above statement its the closest to what we need, do you guys start developing that plugin? would it be ready very soon? do we need to hire someone to do it for us or should we wait until a new release for Business hikashop release? thanks

We didn't start any work on that so far.
This was only 2 months ago, and we mainly focused on the new 4.2.2 since then, and the "address auto fill" plugin we've added to the marketplace lately. So we didn't have time to work on other things yet.
Even if we were developing it, it wouldn't be included in the Business edition but it would be a side plugin we would sell on the marketplace:

if it will come to the Market place, we are more than willing to buy it, all your products work flawless, and I have to agree with everyone, that is the hikashop is most powerful extension created for Joomla platform, thanks for your work and we will wait until you guys produce this plugin, I just want to you to know if you guys were able to develop and produce that plugin that would make it a great extension for sale, lots of people need it, so not just hikashop users will buy it, but everyone else wants the delivery shipping to certain radius especially for restaurant business, Food now a days become number one business industry , and all about delivery, thanks for taking the time to read my notes.
