How To Add Video To Product Description

How can I add a video to our product description. I add a video in the images and files section but it's not showing on the front end.

If the video is on YouTube or Vimeo, I found the Joomlashack plugins the simplest way, as all you need to do is copy and paste the URL into the product description.

For YouTube: www.joomlashack.com/joomla-extensions/osyoutube/
For Vimeo: www.joomlashack.com/joomla-extensions/osvimeo/
For both and more: www.joomlashack.com/joomla-extensions/osembed/

If I was placing the video where the description (text) is, then that would work, but I wanted it to be in the same section with the other product images - rather than having the product images in one location and the video in another.

So I think it would be nice if we could upload Images and/or Videos where it says "Images and files".

Hi,

The image area is only for displaying images. It doesn't support videos.
Supporting videos is something that would require some development.
As lousyfool pointed out, with what we have now, you would have to add your video with an extension in the description of the product.

Yes. You can easily do that.
First, add the video to your website with the Joomla media manager and get the URL of that video file.
Then, in your product description, you can directly add the video HTML tag with that URL:
