creating new characteristic, description and image

When I create new characteristics in a characteristic list, it doesnt use the main descriptions and images anymore ?

I have also noticed the breadcrumbs are all over the place as well, I am wondering if its a update issue or something Im not doing

1. If you want your product's variants to have the same description/images as their main product, you'll have to set no description/images to your product's variants.

2. Can you give me more information about the problem that you are having ?
