I need to display unique ID within product.

-- url of the page with the problem -- :n/a

I would like to have Item # as in example below:
www.overstock.com/Clothing-Shoes/Bonnibe...C4LQB6CI&searchidx=1

Is there a way to display unique numeric ID for the product?
Or change Code to be unique numeric number?

The solution will probably just be to create a "product" custom field through "Hikashop->Display->Custom fields" and set an ID through your product configuration pages, then that custom field value will show through your product page.

Product Code can be used as well, but it is a manual entry every time. I am looking for something that generates unique ID(like a primary key in DB table) that can be displayed withing a product.

..or may be an option is to display Product ID (which i understand is unique key(PK)) on the product page.....
Reason is, a lot of folks order over the phone/email in my case. And with extensive inventory it is very hard to figure out which exact product customer wants to order. With Item # (Product ID, Code etc) it is waaaay easier to accomplish so. And it is waaay easier to do that when ID is generated by the system without "laborious" manual entry

But note that if you want to daily update your products custom field value, a solution can be to use mass actions through "Hikashop->System->Mass actions".
