SEF Automatic Alias filling afterwad

Hello,
after different migrations, I have now in Dashboard/Configuration/Features/SEF options a "Alias automatic filling" option.
I have set it to yes, but no alias are created on my previous products (they are empty)

If I set "Remove products and categories id in URLs" to YES, my links are broken as there are no aliases.

Is there a way to force the alias creation, once the products already exists ?

Hi,

No, the aliases are generated when you save the product edition page of a product.
And if you don't specify an alias, HikaShop will use the product name instead but if your products name have special characters, the URLs won't work properly unless you keep the ids in the URLs.

Regarding your reply, since Hikashop by default uses the product name as the alias,
How do you change it so that it uses the product code instead?

You can enter the product code in the "alias" field of the products then.
