Product option variant price display for £0 price

I have added product option X which has one characteristic with 4 variants (drop down list). One of the variants of this characteristic has a price of £0. When product option X is displayed on the main product page the variant id "328" is displayed in the drop down rather than the price/cost.

The issue is that 0 is considered as invalid for a value of a characteristic by the system.
Instead of 0, please use 0
It should display as 0 but won't be invalid for the characteristic system.
Otherwise, use the name "zero".
