How toget short decsription in Product List page

We sell single issues of our magazine: -
How do I get a short description of the contents of each magazine (3-4 lines) in the Product Listing Page.

Simply publishing the title & month doesn't give my customers enough information to click... we have more than 60 issues & opening each product page to find what they want is too much trouble for them

Hi,

When you edit your products listing menu/module via the menu Display>Content menus/modules, you can change the item box layout to "image and description" instead of "image and title" and you'll get the description displayed on the listing.
Then, in your products, if you add a "read more" tag in the product description, the listing will automatically only display the text before the read more tag.
